Alexander has a knack to take one song and make it weave seamlessly to other progressions, which often leads to thinking that the song has ended just for the song to come back to where it started.

To begin with, Alexander's use of synthesizers on this album is massive, to say the least, I mean it really feels like these synths carry some real weight. Poking Your Imagination has got a sort of Jean-Michel Jarre feel to it but darker and on the track What We Leave Behind has a kind of Kraftwerk vibe going on with it. Overall this is a dark, dense, heavy, and spacey album.

His track Hanging Upside Down takes me back to mid-evil times after a battle then fast forwards me to 1950s rainy streets of New York detective scene in a movie. Alexander is spot on with the title of his album.

Overall I think this is a fascinating piece of work and worth taking a listen to or a few, to say the least. Alexander is a very versatile musician, and it shows in his work, he delivers a complexity that is sure to keep you engaged and let your imagination run free.

It is fascinating music with a wonderful stringency and artistic aesthetics. Somewhere between dark electronica, soundtrack and classical elements, full of tension but also a lot of melancholy and even drama.

The arrangements are never overloaded, really tasteful compositions ! It is definitely music for listening. It's really an exciting deep experience, maybe a bit more on the dark side.

Exciting concept between classical influences and electronic, sometimes with a certain reminiscence to 70s electronica.

I’m very much impressed about the serious and sophisticated musical concept.

Excellent work ! So much going on - often in just one track !

I feel much of it nods in the direction of the great tradition of European electronic music - and some of the pieces to Kraftwerk in particular. A particular favourite is "What We Leave Behind" - reminds me a little of Bowie's Berlin period. But also stand out tracks - for me - are "Hanging Upside Down" and "In The Tepid Sunshine" both again with that "Low" era feel - which is no bad thing !

A beautiful collection !
